This is one of the more widespread and common Longhorn Cuckoos in VT.

Identification: Challenging to ID from photos. Long, thin hairs on the thorax are distinctive, but unlikely to show up in photos.

Similar Species: Several rarer Longhorn Cuckoos are quite similar.

Known or Suspected Hosts: Drury’s Long-horned Bee (Melissodes druriellus)
