As the name suggests, this is a parasite of the Thistle Longhorn Bee. One of the earliest Longhorn Cuckoos to emerge in the summer.

Identification: Possible, but challenging to ID from photos. The hair bands are pure white, vs. the pale yellow of other Triepeolus.

Similar Species: Compare other Longhorn Cuckoos (Triepeolus) and Cellophane Cuckoos (Epeolus).

Global Status: Not Ranked

Vermont Status: S2
