This bellflower specialists seems to be quite at home in gardens around the state. A known host to multiple cleptoparasites, including one distinctive species - Louisiana Painted-Dark Bee (Stelis louisae) - that hasn't been found in Vermont.

 Identification: Among the Leafcutter bees, this is one of the smallest and least hairy, also one of only a few species with a parallel sided abdomens.
