This is a fall species found on a variety of composites. More distinctive than most of the other fall Melissodes.
Identification: The combination of bright orange hairs on the front of the thorax and abundant dark hairs in the middle of the same segment appears to be distincvite among the VT fauna.
Known or Suspected Parasites: Goldenrod Longhorn-Cuckoo Bee (Triepeolus pectoralis)
