This is an uncommon native species known in Vermont only from the Champlain Valley. It sometimes co-occurs with Oblong Woolcarder Bee (Anthidium oblongatum) on Birds Foot Treefoil.

 Identification: This is one of the smallest black and yellow species in the state. It can be distinguished by the combination of yellow bands and yellow dots on the abdomen.

Similar Species: Probably most similar to Oblong Woolcarder Bee (Anthidium oblongatum) which is a larger bee with more complete yellow bands on the abdomen.
