A brilliant blue species that nests in rotten logs. Its distribution in Vermont appears may be limited to the warmer, western parts of the state.

Identification: Most are uniquely blue, though a small number of individuals are only faintly blue and not readily identifiable from photographs.

Similar Species: Compare other Dialictus and other blueish genera.
