Identification: As with other Lasioglossum, field identification is challenging, though this species is part of a relatively distinctive group that have abundant, short hairs on the abdomen and a faint gold color.
Known or Suspected Parasites: Atlantic Cuckoo Sweat Bee (Sphecodes atlantis)
Similar Species: Recently split from White-haired Golden Sweat Bee (Lasioglossum leucocomum), the two species are very similar and difficult to distinguish, even with a microscope. On iNaturalist, most are identified as Hairy Sweat Bee Species Group (Complex Lasioglossum pilosum).
