Gomphaeschna furcillata (Harlequin Darner)Appears scattered in primarily peatland sites across the state. Encounters are often only one or two individuals per site. Most occurrences are in the Nulhegan Basin in Vermont’s Northeastern Highlands, with a pocket of reports from Rutland County. Although encounters away from bogs are few, Vermont data suggests it may occur in hardwood swamps and fens as well.
