Its “range” is difficult to determine because it is known from only a handful of confirmed records. Grand Isle has a few encounters, and the only other record in the state consists of two individuals patrolling in someone’s front yard  With peatlands and rivers attracting much attention among odonatists in Vermont, this species may turn up at swamp or other wetland sites with additional investigation.
