First found in Vermont in June of 2005, it is now known from four sites in the state. These records, which include one confirmed breeding from southwestern Vermont, are at the northeastern edge of the species’ range. All records are from June. Yellow Water Lily (Nuphar variegatum) is typically associated with this species. Other Vermont ponds with Yellow Water Lily warrant investigation.
