A VT record of this species, from Union Village (Orange County), is referenced in a 1972 taxonomic revision. We are not aware of any additional records. It is active in the spring and thought to be a willow specialist.
Identification: Likely challenging to ID from photos. One of a few Andrena with two submarginal cells in the wing. Males have extensive yellow marks on their face.
Similar Species: Other species in the subgenus Parandrena also have two submarginal cells and yellow outside the clypeus. So far none are known from VT, but Andrena wellesleyana could occur here.
