One of the more widespread sunflower specialists in VT.

 Identification: This is a relatively large, fall active mining bee. Both sexes have an orange tinge to the hair on their thorax and the male has a yellow clypeus.

Similar Species: Of the fall flying mining bees, Andrena braccata is the most similar, see that species page for separating the two species.
