First found in Vermont in 2002 at Lake St. Catherine. It has since been found at more sites in the southern piedmont and additional sites within 15 miles of Lake St. Catherine. Status at Lake St. Catherine seems secure as it has been found in the shallower subsections at both ends of the lake and is reliable in the proper season. All known sites have lilypads.
