Davis' Tree Cricket (Oecanthus exclamationis)

In the United States the elegant Davis’ Tree Cricket is primarily found in eastern deciduous forests but also occurs in isolated similar habitats in the mountains of southern Arizona.

This cricket lives in the crowns of broad-leaved trees, and sometimes in understory trees and tangled undergrowth.

Bulk of observations in iNaturalist recorded June – October.

Early August to mid-October in Ohio; June to Sept. in north Florida.
