Nasiaeschna pentacantha (Cyrano Darner)One site from southeastern Vermont, Lily Pond, constitutes the only known occurrence in the state, including a female ovipositing on 21 June 2005. Vermont most certainly represents the northern extent of its range (although it has been found recently at latitudes farther north in Maine). Prefers lakes, ponds and slow streams. Warrants further investigation in southern Vermont.
