Join the Vermont Moth Blitz 2020 and celebrate National Moth Week!
This annual event “celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths” and seeks to monitor moth population distributions and develop a better understanding of their life history. People of all moth watching skill levels participate by taking pictures of their winged discoveries and sharing them on the Vermont Moth Blitz 2020 iNaturalist project during National Moth Week from July 18-26.
From moth experts to the amateur enthusiasts, the Vermont Atlas of Life wants everyone to participate! During National Moth Week, we will run a state-wide Moth Blitz. All you need to do is find, photograph, and share your moth discoveries to the Vermont Moth Blitz 2020 on iNaturalist. The project opens to submissions at 12:02AM on July 18th and closes at 11:59pm on July 26th. We can’t wait to see how many moths you help us to discover!
