The stocky and stoutly built Gladiator Meadow Katydid is a common and widespread species that inhabits tall grassy areas, often near water.
Also called Gladiator Conehead.

Phenology
Season of the Gladiator Meadow Katydid is given as June-August. It is one of the earliest native katydids in much of its range.
