IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different?

Rusty outer tail feathers should eliminate Ruffed Grouse.

Other Notes & Comments

Keane's roommate, a student at UVM sent me the video after the two of them had a conversation about grouse. I looked at the video and it looks good to me for Spruce Grouse. Since we don't have any recent records for Spruce Grouse outside of the Nulhegan Basin, it seems like this was worth documenting. The video file is too big for this form, so I am sending it via file transfer to Kent.
