| Description of Habitat | Marshy cove of Connecticut River. |
| Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation | The bird was observed among apporx 30 Anas carolinensis. It was not feeding or sleeping. It was clearly distinguishable by the horizontal bar. |

| Head | Chestnut head with dark green marking from eye along side of head and neck. |
