The large and robust Two-striped Grasshopper occurs widely in North America and is common in New England. It inhabits tall, lush, herbaceous vegetation – dense populations may reside in tall grass prairie, wet meadows, swamps, roadsides, ditch banks, and crop borders. It is comparatively sluggish and easily captured.
