The Northern Sedge Locust range includes southern Canada, probably from coast to coast, and northern US as far south as Massachusetts, New York, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado (only in cool upland areas in the west).  (BugGuide)

Its palustrine habitats are bog/fen and scrub-shrub wetland, while terrestrial habitat is grassland/herbaceous.

Also called Graceful Sedge Grasshopper.
