Never seen this species, have Baltimore Orioles summers every year.

Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation

Noticed bird with yellow much larger than normal goldfinch or warbler, took pictures of him feeding on suet, bird remained around for about 2 hrs. later reviewed pictures with Sibley Field Guide to identify rare visitor

IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different?

compared to baltimore and orchard oriole, this bird had black spot on throat under bill and was much whiter through the mid-section than immature males of similar species.
