Lone teal not associated with any of the other waterfowl.

Private location off the north shore of Grand Isle,
location obscured by iNaturalist.
Quick photo taken from 0.2+ miles merely to get a handle on the duck sp.; a later enlargement of the photo pixels revealed a Green-winged Teal with no trace of the vertical white stripe of an American GWTE, nor of an intergrade — which I've seen once in Clinton Co. NY.

The horizontal white bar — obscured by the scapulars — identifies a Eurasian GWTE.

IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different?

Enlargement of the pixels revealed no trace of any vertical white bar which would distinguish Anas crecca ssp. carolinensis vs. Anas crecca ssp. crecca.
