| Description of Habitat | Residential Woodland area located on an Island in Lake Champlain |
| Behaviors Observed | Frequent screeching/calling. When audio of another screech owl was played, it responded. |
| Description of Vocalizations | See behaviors observed |
| Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation | Too dark. Didn't see anything, but could hear it from my window, and went through a cycle of screeching animals with my phone via youtube to first, identify the noise, and then to see if it would respond as a confirmation. |
| IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different? | No other animals of any kind that screech made anything close to the noise I heard. All other noises i played back did not elicit a response, but the Barn Owl audio clip did. |
