| Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation | From my back sliding glass door I observed a bird eating a bee next to my wild pollinator garden. |
| IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different? | I eliminated the scarlet tanager based on a description I read. "female western tanagers have 2 wingbars whereas female/nonbreeding male scarlet tanagers have unmarked dark wings." |
| Other Notes & Comments | I put this observation out on multiple platforms with more experienced birders confirming that they to thought it was a Western tanager. |
