Description of Habitat

Deciduous forest mixed with red cedar trees
Other species observed were Cardinals, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Tufted Titmouse, Blue Jays, and Goldfinches.

Behaviors Observed

Very flighty feeding off shrub and tree branches, until I was noticed and he stood still long enough for me to capture my photo and then flew further into the woods.

Very flighty feeding from branch to branch. No vocal sounds heard.

IMPORTANT: What similar species were eliminated when making the identification and how was this bird different?

I at first thought it was a Titmouse until I saw my photo. I thought the flighty nature was very different from what I’ve observed from a Titmouse and thought maybe it was a warbler type bird.

Red marking on head would lead me to conclude that it was a male.
