| Description of Habitat | weedy area on the perimeter of field, near swampy area with open water |
| Behaviors Observed | responded to pishing, popped up from weedy area, gave "seep" chip notes. |
| Description of Vocalizations | single "seep" note repeated in response to pishing. |
| Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation | Birding around the perimeter of fields and cornfields at Great Meadow in Putney, a sparrow responded to my pishing, popped up from the weedy area. Through my bins, I could see the pinkish bill, white eye-ring and overall "blank" face of a field sparrow. |
