Multiple observation of Warblers (Myrtle/Yellow-Rumped) and Common Yellowthroat at this location in April 2017.

Description of Habitat

Bird sighted at feeder on back deck of house, although no feeding observed. Small home surrounded by open field, 1/4 acre pond (100 feet to the north), hillside/sugarbush 75 feet to west, and dirt road, stream and hundreds of acres of undisturbed woodland to east.

Behaviors Observed

Unconcerned with young red squirrel on deck 2 feet below feeder; appeared to be looking for food, but uninterested in feeder (sunflower/millet/safflower food mix)

none heard

yellow-green back, crown and underside, grey neck, was 'extending' neck as it looked around

Myrtle Warbler, which is common throughout spring and summer here. Crown and back color differentiated from Myrtle.
