| Description of Habitat | large open waterway adjacent to Lake Champlain with surrounding marsh habitat with some trees. |
| Behaviors Observed | Steady, fast flight approx. 50 feet above water. |

| Verbal Narrative & Description of Observation | Just pulled car to side of road and was preparing to leave vehicle when swan was seen flying south. Swan was flying from left to right (north to south) about 100 feet in front and about 50 feet off the water. Jumped out of the vehicle and observed bird flying south with binoculars. Bird glided to the east and landed out of sight at approx 1/2 mile away. No further sighting. |
