Sympetrum costiferum (Saffron-winged Meadowhawk)Somewhat rarely encountered, or rarely noticed. One possible reason for the low number of records is its late flight season. When found, usually at ponds or wetlands with pools of standing water, it is a refreshing change from the more abundant species in this genus.
