Dorocordulia libera (Racket-tailed Emerald)Common and widespread, preferring swamps, bogs, and other types of wooded wetlands. Less likely in wide-open agricultural parts of the state. Frequently encountered along forest roads and trails, especially during mid-June to mid-July. Males often patrol a small territory at pond and field edges.
