BIRDER BROKER maintains a database of private landowners and birders who are seeking access to private lands. Information requested during registration is confidential and used only for matching landowners interested in learning more about the birds on their property while contributing data to Vermont eBird with the help of an experienced birder.
LANDOWNER REGISTRATION:
When you register as a landowner, you will specify the towns with land you wish to make available to birders. If a birder has selected the same town(s), you will be provided with the birder’s contact information. Your contact information will not be shared.
BIRDER REGISTRATION:
When you register as a birder, you will select the towns where you are interested in birding. Landowners can contact you about birding on their land using the phone number or email address you supply on the registration page.
By submitting this application, I agree that the information submitted will be entered into the Birder Broker database. Matches are made via computer and based on the location of land available for birding access. My information will not be sold and will be used only for birding access matching purposes.
I understand that participation in the Birder Broker program is an individual decision. The Vermont Center for Ecostudies and Bird Diva Consulting shall have no responsibility or liability for any claims, expenses, or damages resulting from any individual’s participation in the Birder Broker program. I can choose to remove myself from the Birder Broker database at any time upon submission of a written request to the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and Bird Diva Consulting. By submitting this application, I am agreeing to the “Terms Of Use.”

The Birder Broker program is offered as a service to landowners looking to learn more about birds on their property while contributing data to eBird with the help of an experienced birder. Every Birder Broker user accepts full and personal responsibility for any birding access arrangements he or she may make through this service. The Birder Broker users are not pre-screened by the Vermont Center for Ecostudies or Bird Diva Consulting; therefore all potential Birder Broker users should exercise caution and discretion before accepting or offering birding access arrangements, and in general, take whatever steps he or she deems necessary to ensure one’s personal safety. Sponsors and/or hosts of this site accept no responsibility for actions of any individuals using the Birder Broker program.
